I had to add a security exception for it on Firefox but it does have some historical graphs available.

Might only update after the last day of the month.

Guess I should have gotten up during the night and cleared the gauge, dammit. It's full so no idea what the total is. Yesterdays 238 plus whatever the gauge holds 180? is my best guess. So that comes to 418mm plus since 8am yesterday.

Needs Cow Bay Bob or Bunyip for their totals, could be more.

I was thinking about the 1996 Daintree Flood when we got 54 inches in four days and praying we'd not approach that, with the river 2kms wide instead of 300m or thereabouts.

Wow some amazing totals around. Looks like the bulk is head south now though BOM still have some good falls for us today and tomorrow. Happy to miss out now. About 75mm since 9am for me.

I find it interesting that this year each model has had their time to shine in regards to northern queensland area.
GFS was doing really well at the start with estimating rainfall, even outperforming BOMs forecasting. Has not done so well with lows though.
EC nailed the Townsville event and other lows in Australia but performed poorly with TC Nora. It had one good run with Nora, Tuesday 12z run as shown in Kens image in the Nora thread, apart from that one run it was way off.
CMC has done well with some of our rainfall events and was the best with Nora.

And on the second leg of the famous Kewarra nylex dash, I emptied a further 56mm. Will there be a third leg of the dash?

Yes, there was a third leg at 6 am this morning. Not a nylex dash as itís stopped raining here. Nylex was full to the brim, so thatís another 120mm minimum, making total at least 258mm given the nylex was likely to have overflowed a bit.

235mm up until 0630am. Great totals around the region with a little more to come over the next few days as the system moves west.

I am just shy of 1000mm for the month, RF.

Highway closed at Thomatis Creek. Backing up all the way to Trinity Beach. It is going to be a delightful commute to work today.

58mm down this way.

Started down to Townsville early this morning only to be turned back at Cardwell. Cattle creek over, and the police said that the highway may close at Gairloch as well.

Lots of rain north. Cairns for the Golden Gumboot?

So last night I went past the 2017 total and we are only 150mm shy of the annual average of approx 2000mm.

What a season! 231mm for the past 24hrs and a little more than 300mm for this event.

It is wet out there!

Hopefully this pushes inland and south. While fining up at the moment (read overcast but not raining) the BOM are suggesting we may see redevelopment of heavy rainfall over the next 24hrs or so at anytime.

428mm here at my spot. Just beautiful smile

I had to drop a few people in Kans yesterday so was out in the worst of it, That landslip and plenty of others were the real deal. For the most part though people were driving with respect and care, only a few small cars pushing with no hope of getting through.. Was lucky and got over Foxton in a dip in heights and made it home.

Some great totals around, was so good to be home as it ramped up after dark and all the local creeks burst their banks. The Daintree has a good flow in her this morning smile

Cheers
