Cairns getting hammered with 130mm since 9am from the north, Mackay getting rain now from east, we are stuck in the middle with nothing from north or east. this isnt a rain shadow issue, this is just bad luck. one wet week all season, was hoping to get something to write the season (so called) off with.

Some rain heading down from the north but my best guess is that it will hit the dome and that's it all over and done with. As wet seasons go this one was almost a fizzer. Meh at least the dam got a big drink and the Burdekin as well.

Highway North to Ingham is now closed at Frost Mango due to flooding at Cattle Creek.

Radar looking promising there guys - is it actually raining? It actually looks very good and with the highway cut to the north you must be hopeful of some decent falls from this system moving south?

had some moderate rainfall, 11mm in past 24 hours in Kirwan. More hopeful for the next band to the north. Need to swing south a bit more thought.
EC has ramped up local rainfall tonight, but GFS dont want a bar of it.

Light showers at the moment. Some moderate falls as Mick said and 11mms at Rasmussen as well. Only bright side is no road works and being bombarded by reversing warnings and horns blaring all day.
