Nice day at the beach!

Hard to believe we have a so called cyclone spinning just off the coast🤔

Ok, so I spent my long week painting. The sweat was everywhere, purely gross weather. When do we expect it to dry up (lower humidity) now that its early April?

Seems like once this passes she is done for the year, seems .....

After the last decent wet of 10/11 there were very dry years, I really don't need extremely dry years from here on, more likely than not tho, Australia being Australia

Interesting radar ATM,

slowly getting onto the wettest spots and tidying up.

Cheers

So much for 1299 mm of rain for this "event"...we will be lucky to reach double figures..

I reckon the season is over... we just need to get rid of the humidity - over it.

Don't count it out till the end of April DU. Still hopeful for a wetter than the past 2 years April up here.
I think Tinaroo will spill before the end of April too. That would be the perfect end to the wet season!!!

Extremely dry, apart from all the slopes springing water like someone turned the taps on down in the subterranean.
Five days without rain..went mad mowing the lawns real short last Saturday and my comment in diary (yes, pitiful I know) - "Mowed the lawns - Heavens knows when they will be dry again."
The time when Iris was just a mere Tropical Low 340km east of Cairns.

And, I see the rain forecast for the coming weekend starting to become something - with this map I see what the motivation for it is

Ex Iris

7mm overnight.

Mostly from light showers started around 5pm. Very still here.

Monsoon still looks reasonably active to the north, perhaps good for a final hit in a week or two.

I see Tinaroo is still receiving a small inflow from the surrounding catchment.
Level was at 91.97% as of about an hour ago.

Apparently Atherton has received nearly 50 mm over the last hour or so.

I watched that cell on the radar for about 5 minutes, and it just sat there, right over Atherton.

With the pace of the MJO pulse in the last 9 days,- I'm wondering if we might get another little look in toward the end of the month.
