Cant recall the temp, but it was about the lowest so far this year. Was roughly around 17c

Surprised here too.
Good pruning/gardening weather yasterday and forgot to bring out the doonas from the container so...4am this morning finds me searching for fresh batteries for the flashlight and dragging them in.. can't take another cold morning. Almost expect frost!

Yeah, I know, spoilt up here, weatherwise.

A surprisingly high 16.9C, although that will drop a little yet.
Feels cooler. Snug under doona and blanket.

Never look forward to the Dry Season winds. But I've got a little bit of windbreak growing along the bottom fence now in the hope of slowing down the whirlwinds.
Bit dry at 22% humidity, not real keen on that, I like it over 75% grin
Nice comfortable temp of 32 degrees.

A tad over 10 here this morning at 7, think I might have to upgrade the old mercury instrument for a flash new digital know it all to the . one so I can compare humidity etc. I know the RH was/is low though as the old lips start to sting and form scales and my Winnie Blue Rolly's get a bit harsh on the throat if left open.
Makes for some Beautiful day's though huh ?

LOL.
I'll be bringing in the Nylex tomorrow. No point in letting it disintegrate in the sun. Any precipitation we might get won't be worth walking out to check. grin

I just drove up from NSW through western QLD over the weekend...no surprises that the first rain we hit was 1700km's into the trip about 1km out of Tully..

My 17 year old son also experienced his first ever household fireplace fire after a couple of 7c NSW nights last week...it was my first one in 25 years as well..I also cut up a load of Ironbark for my oldies and was a bit embarrassed that I had to teach my son how to use a handheld blocksplitter..poor bugga had no clue..!

Black as anything in a wide patch over to the east.
Looks pretty damp over the Featherbeds right now.

Puffy clouds and sunshine in all other directions.

I saw a home made splitter once where the bloke hooked 2 hoses up to the hydraulics of his tractor to drive a 2 foot ram in a frame setup made up of RSJ offcuts.
One push on the lever handle and bingo, a stack of firewood in 10 minutes.

That black patch in the east that missed us, chilled everything, hit weird. Tried a few faint spits. Just cold.

Another cloudless sky today.

That would take the fun out of it Hickory...I hadn't realised how much I missed the whole process of cutting the logs up in the paddock ,splitting them, loading them on the ute and then stacking them up ready for the fire....

Ron ,We had a slow combustion stove when I was a teenager so I spent a bit of time on the chainsaw and splitter too...when I saw my son trying to use the splitter ..it got me thinking about how different his life is these days to what my upbringing was growing up around farms....bit sad to think how much time he wastes on social media.....I do try and teach him some basic skills but he see's it as me trying to exploit him for free labour.....ungrateful sod..lol..

Fluctuating between drizzle and sun today..looks like the pattern for the week ahead..
