Gusts upwards from 57kmh and pressure is dropping at Eimeo Point. Steady but not hard rain for 3 hours. Surf was high around 12:30 and was breaking high on the beach. No obvious erosion damage.

Hamilton plains can't be far off being closed as water now is covering both lanes and the rain rate looks like its about to pick up according to the radar, Crofton creek bridge won't be far behind but harder to tell as the camera is facing down the road for some strange reason, Pretty soon Airlie\Cannonvale will be cut off I think.

Big difference from this mornings 10am bom track map and this afternoon's 4pm track map in that it has Iris much further south before turning back to the north. 10am map turned in line with Townsville on Thursday. 4pm turns in line south of Prossy on Thursday.
I'm sure there'll be a few more twists and turns between now and then. Just my obs.
She is crazy tricky.

Steady drizzle in Mackay now, wind has died down a bit though in comparison to 9pm, and just 9mm of rain since 9am. That solid banding has been hanging just off the coast for most of the day. Hopefully tomorrow brings little more for us!

R.R we still could see more on the return journey i think, even just as a low Iris could dump another 100 to 200 mls will be interesting to see if that happens

Happy that the rain seems to have cleared, yard is so mushy and all the concrete is turning black, will need to chlorine and pressure wash it asap! any chance of some cooler and hopefully drier air coming soon? in past years the weather has sometimes started to cool in April.. but some years late may..
