Yeah great pics CS22.

Looks good up your way, I reckon there might be some decent wind with it too.

It's been hot outside today but it's getting a bit warm in here too.

I think some of us just need to cool down a little. Pardon the pun.
It's clear that some love the heat and some love the cool.
This is a good forum with lot's of good people.
Let's keep it that way.

Some nice light rain here at the moment. I can still hear some distant rumbles.
It's a nice cool 21.9 degs atm.
More heat to come this week, as I stated earlier. Not much I can do about that, except complain. smile

Last time I didn't like the weather I complained but it just kept on doing what it was doing.

The radar shows a cell near me but there's nothing happening here. It must be passing just to the North. Low cloud is now blowing in blocking the view of distant sheet lightning I had earlier.

There have been a few falls about Syndey, all lower than 5mm. Woronora dam recieved an isolated 13mm.

Was mostly a dry stormy change at Swansea. A few drops of rain and nothing on the drive home to Toronto. The lightning has been gorgeous though.

My mother in Gosford says she being smashed by VERY heavy rain and severe lightning, said she seen the hospital get struck. One of the worst storms she seen in the 8yrs she's lived there. And not one warning from BOM??

Gosford picked up 27mm in 25 minutes and has now received a total of 37.4 mm. Probably more sites on the Central Coast will have big totals when Rainfall and River Conditions updates for 9:00PM.

Meanwhile, there is inactivity on a massive scale here, but we did well in localised falls in mid March. Chatswood has picked up a millimetre.

Raining here now in Toronto. But not wild.
Gosford sure got some.
Was wondering about the lack of a weather warning by das Bureau. It is comforting that no one is at the wheel in holiday periods he he he

Lot's of lightning on the central coast, which has been impressive, but otherwise been pretty tame on the north end of the coast, just a bit of rain really, storm does not meet the criteria for a storm warning.

Well they chose to live out there, they can deal with it!! Pure and simple.

Haha.
I used to live near Parramatta, and couldn't conceive Penrith would be much hotter. The heat didnt really factor into my decision making at that stage.

But crikey mcrgiff, 10 years of living here I have developed some kind of psychological scar from the endless heat. Summers are dreaded all year. I tick..my eye ticks...its ticking now..the heat.. smile

I hate heat. I have northern european ancestry, I should be living in a much colder climate!. My genetics arent built for this crap!! Hahaha grin

Look it could be much worse. Often to make myself feel better I will have a look at Bagdads summer temps.

They will get 45C everyday for months, then cools down to 38C at night.

Penrith ain't so bad grin

Actually my parents who both have lived in severe wet heat for a good part of their lives where the average high in the peak of summer is 37 degrees with an average relative humidity of 57% after being in air conditioned offices here for the most part have lost their ability to deal with extreme heat. Leaving only me to live happily in the heat, but this amount of heat is just mundane and boring because of the lack of storms.

Managed to intercept a weakening cell that formed off Bondi/Coogee and moved up the coast. This would be the last strike it let out before dying. Also my first lightning shot in... 11 years laugh

Almost an April record warm night at Nobbys. Would have broken a 60 year record.

How many fish did you catch LRH?

We managed 5.5mm from a moderate shower in the evening. Very welcome.

Great photo LRH.

Looks like the warm weather won't let up any time soon. Could be well into the 30's by this time next week.

And no rain on the cards for at least the next 7 days which is really unusual for April. Sometimes you'd be hard pressed getting a sunny day at this time of the year.
