Could be some highest min records gone by 9am. In Sydney and elsewhere. Unbelievable temps. Nobbys has equaled its record, dropping to 21.9 but now 23.9. Gosford over 26 at 2am mid Autumn. Not good sleeping weather for sure.

Update. Obs Hill itself won't be beating its record of 24.6 as it has been down to 23.6 . But the Airport may beat the record it broke only yesterday. Currently around 26 at Cooranbong and indicative of what it feels like here in west side of Lake. Sitting on my verandah in a pair of boxer shorts having a cold drink. Neighbours up all over the place too.

Just heard Thunder outside a minute ago
Decent Storm just popped up suddenly on radar between Liverpool and Parramatta. Heading towards Sydney Airport (spanning from Sydney CBD to Port Hacking)
Looks like there could be some wind with this set of storms too.
Currently 26.2C at Sydney Airport. Temperature on the way up since 3:30am
Even Camden is 24.5C now. That's a heatwave compared to the 13C it got own to at 6am yesterday morning. No more thunder heard since the first rumbles. Looks like the storm is a fizzer

Airport won't be breaking its new record from yesterday. If things dont dip between now and 9am, Gosford will have a new record and Norah Head as well. There is a 22.2 highest min at Rathmines, which is just south of Toronto from 1941.

Once this useless trough moves on it is going to be a messy day heat and wind wise. Prob worst as far as wind goes during this event.

The following Hunter obs sites broke their highest min records. Gosford (beat 2014). Mangrove Mt (beat 1998) Norah Head (beat 1980 and 2016). Nobbys record retained but only just..
Sun breaking thru. Windy

Shoot up alright. Nearly 28 some places in Sydney. Bom might have thought cloud linger longer and have undercooked forecast.

Never seen an April day like this. Thats because its not an April day. It's more like a hot late August day

Mount Boyce is showing that the Blue Mountains are getting absolutely whipped, winds have been around 40km/h for the past 1.5 hours and the gusts are now touching 89km/h.

Could see the same fire at wattle grove right now. Looks like some pyrocumulus at the tops but not too sure.

It's alright though looking at the position of the fire and the Wind direction it won't bother any homes, but i'm worried about the arrival of the cold front whether the pyrocumulus will light up. Also the fire started a literal 2-3 min drive from the fire station so it will be well handled also adjacent is the army base. Also looks like some Storm action for our hunter buddies, good for them.

It's now been pushed to an Emergency warning and some people that I know have been advised to evacuate looking nasty now, hopefully the wind stays its course but you never know with Pyrocumulus.
