America is a great place for storms especially the midwest but occasionally your roof would get knocked off. Knot have fun with the humidity though eastern seaboard humidity is unbearable compared to here. We have it very good in terms of weather its rare for the weather to become deadly, whereas its commonplace there. I'm talking temperate and subtropical because the tropics is a whole other bag of danger.

Cold here today, in Nowra. Day started off with a heavy frost, mercury dipped to -7.8c. The Shoalhaven river nearly froze over. A heavy fog rolled in, keeping temperatures close to zero to around 10am. Finally the fog lifted, creating a fantastic sunny day, albeit on the chilly side at around 8c. Temperatures falling quick now with the sun dropping.

Interesting pingtang.

It was also cold here but the night stayed relatively warm thanks to the westerly breeze, only getting down to -3.3įC. Today was mostly sunny top of 9įC but some snow showers have started rolling in with temp about 1 degree

I'm quite enjoying the current weather apart from the fact that it's boring and repetitive.

Newie extended forecast has heat into the mid month with no real let up except for another pathetic change on Tuesday. Quite surreal. Said it before and say again. Until lows beat it from off north Qld this farce will continue. Meanwhile in NZ..

Agree - itís gorgeous. Not hot, not cold. Nights are sticky on the coast though with all these solid DPís. Min temps a staggering 4c above average atm.

But itís like it has forgotten how to rain. And no real end in sight either. Longer term models forecasting a deep cutoff low mid-April, but 💁🏻‍♂️🙏

@Kino vis a vis cut off low.
April fools day was a week ago he he

One really annoying feature of this upside down weather is that instead of preparing for hibernation like I wanna, my partner wants me to join in on her Spring cleaning binge. I need a good flip in weather to get me off the hook lol

Looks like this low level heatwave is going until at least the middle of next week.
Long term forecasts show a return to just above average from next Wed in 10 days time, with just a brief interruption on Tues this week. (which will still be above average for April anyway)
This would have to be just about worth of it's own thread I would say.

I think the longevity of this heat makes it worthy of a thread Derek. Def a heatwave for this time of year. Likely to be unprecedented in many places (E.g Bathurst). But whoever starts it wants to give it no terminus. This event is likely to extend into May. Whatever is driving it is not gonna get the hint. It could actually be the new normal.
