Possible notable follow-up convective shower activity in the next 2 days, after the rain of the 13th-17th in the Adelaide Area. Dew-points likely to be higher.

Dew-points on the rise -- low 10s, as implied earlier, now with relative humidity 90-95%. Winds WNW and slight. Quite unstable. Some isolated convective showers earlier today (city and hills). I understand the instability would be partially a result of multiple, smaller surface troughs aligned roughly NW-SE, extending from inland, and Bight.

And yes, something is approaching, from the westerly direction.

N.B.: The something that is approaching is relatively slow-moving.

I have merely provided some observations and insight from examining today's synoptic charts, to see what results....

Lots of lightning to the West right now. No thunder to hear as yet so must be well out over the Gulf.

Lightning over Victor Harbor ,distant but some nice strikes, A bit of everything from crawlers to cc's and plenty of branchy cg's.

4 camera's were out and every one was a winner with at least one decent photo.

No wonder its so quiet here in recent years. I don't have Facebook, never have. *come back over here people* j/k

Good to hear some rain on the roof and a little thunder, however short lived. Whats the chance of a few more showers/thunderstorms over the weekend?

Bloody nice to finally get some local nighttime storms in the mid north for about the first time this season.

Closest bolts of the night were nearly directly overhead (closest around 500m), so whilst unfortunately not being able to photogrph them, it was awesome to hear the booming thunder.

Perhaps it depends on what [about the weather] people want to discuss.

Just spent two nights camping on the Coorong - was surprised at how warm the ocean water felt.

That 5 deg above average for Adelaide this month seems crazy. It's like the heat in Qld was pushed further south this summer .

I have been in the FB area more, it was great at first because there were more pictures and videos being shared. However now there are lots of "I saw a bright light in the sky" or "I heard a loud noise that couldn't be thunder" and you have to provide a logical explanation for the nuffies because otherwise they think aliens.
