I found this quiz to be very interesting, and picked my gender and age to within 2 years - I am 61, though I was 59.

My choice is music threw it.........lol

It also suggested I was working class, and I suppose I am as much as think otherwise.

Ha ha , was hilariously wrong for me, suspect it was music that tripped it up for me as well.

Got same result as you Oz. Is it because I said I like Barnsey lol
But seriously. These kind of surveys are questionable. The 'angle' of the questionaire is hinted at in the article containing the survey. The survey's constructors are coming at things from some kind of neo marxist class conscious foundation. And knowing these types very well, I can say that academically and politically they profess solidarity with the average battler. But in reality they have contempt for the battler's social mores, customs and beliefs.
An upper cruster could have done this survey and still got a working class result. Comes down to likes. Not money. Or prestige. Or status. I could have a zillion and raised in Toorak, but I would still love Chisel over Vivaldi any day. A beer beer and a barbie.

I'm working class too, but 25-39. My actual age is below that lol. I even said I liked 4 seasons by Vivaldi. grin Not that I really listen to classical music though.

Working Class, high school education and aged 18-24. I see no live music, and even like dark side of the moon, and pretty much everyone I'd hear of/listened to was from 80s or 90s. So not sure why it put me so young....

Your cultural tastes are most similar to a working class man, aged 25-39 with a high school education.

The fact that I don't read books anymore (only read stuff online, but not books) would have swayed that result a lot I would think.

"Watched and liked Midsomer Murders gives you more in common with the 60+ age group"

lol whatever, I used to watch that show every now and again and didn't mind it!

"Like to read crime or mystery makes your tastes more similar to those of women"

Okay.

Just discovered this...

"Your cultural tastes are most similar to a middle class woman, aged 40-59 with a vocational education."

Pretty much spot on, but the book options let me down. As a Library Tech in a PS, I read children's books Lol!

The music options were appalling...
