Some storms about Homer, hopefully we might get something but its probably enough to wet the dust.

Mostly just south of me at this stage. Need it to develop a little more northwards.

Looks ok on the AP cam Dave.

I just heard a few rumbles from the storm approaching Richmond.
Looks like I've see the last of the sun for a while. Anvil cloud here and now overcast. Currently 23.5 deg's.
Will these storms die entering the basin? Wait and see time.

yeah it sux when you are the gap all the time ashes...been there!!

its up to 28 degrees here. Still sunny with some towers going up over the watagans and further west also. We might be in a good position for peak heat correlating with storm development....or we could be in a gap.
Central coast looks to be in prime position right now.

Also I would like some storms to put out the fires because I'm tired of my house smelling like smoke everyday since Saturday.

Yes Homer - some rumbling & grumbling around, light is getting more dim and to my west and south are some good showers.

Not a drop here yet but hoping the solid curtain of precip about 5km away will get here.

Got some big drops here now - the best bit of the storm has dodged us.

However - we do have that glorious petraclor smell grin

Just enough to wet the ground but it won't last long.

Could be more developing to our NW - so fingers crossed.

Plenty of anvils to my west; bugger all on the coast. Classic deep easterly feed setup. Pity there's no real steer to shove them to the coast.

Really hoping models hold with next weeks event. Will be huge if it comes off - soupy SST's combining with decent cold uppers = heavy stormy rain.

Hope I am wrong, but Illawarra and southwards looks to get a skunking today (othing)

Hearing frequent rumbles here but alas, looks like we'll just get a bit of rain out of this unless that Penrith storms ramps up a bit.
Really missing the TH radar atm.

We may just get a bit of a continuation of shower activity, it seems to be building/developing to our west.

A few mm (if we get lucky) would be nice.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for LARGE HAILSTONES, HEAVY RAINFALL and DAMAGING WINDS

The warning area extends from the Central Coast hinterland through the Central Tablelands to West of Orange, taking in only the far NW of the Metro district (Wisemans Ferry - Maroota). There's another warning area in the West of the State.

It is overcast here (anvil) but the action looks to be passing to the North.

Storm is lining us up. Dont want to jinx it.....
some rain would be very handy. Dry again. Grass is green but is starting to wilt. Garden is looking stressed. Never seen it like that in April.

Yep, as usual.

GFS gone majorly cold on any action next week too. Crossing straws ACCESS holds firm. EC vacillating.

Despite how interesting the radar has looked, we've really had not much precip at all, airport less than 1mm it seems.

Plenty of sparks - ooh just had a beauty then!!

Lol when it goes black on the Appin radar you know you are in a pickle, this is the cell NW of Gosford. Looks like convection is kicking up North of Young.

00z GFS doesnt look that bad kino?? Still a bit of rain in it. Going to epic if Access holds, but latest GFS type scenario probably more likely.

This storm to west is booming pretty good. When its got reds on Newie radar its pretty intense.

Looks and sounds good here but more of that than actual precip. Radar definitely over cooking it.

However - lovely to see, hear and feel.

I took my glasses off and went out to stand in it to remember what rain on the face feels like grin
