Nup. I am not silly enough to hang around in that sort of stuff. I like my life too much.

Not sure as I didn't see the news. Too busy reassuring people that I am alive and well.

Chance of a thunderstorm tomorrow apparently, but certainly no temps below 36 for the foreseeable future frown

Don't know how people live in this area without aircon!

As of this morning I am losing it. Pretty peed off.

The only information we can get is 'There is a fire burning in the area. Get out. Stay out. Houses may or may not be lost in the area" Sounds like they are planning the equivelant of gender reveal party for after it only a 'You still have a house" reveal party.

Whilst we locals can't be given any information AT ALL pics taken by the firies can be posted on other brigades pages half a state away.

We're somewhat lucky in that we're a few hundred metres from the sea so somewhat are spared too much of the heat...

Having said that the humidity today is not nice. I'm constantly buying those cupboard dehumidifier containers from the cheap shop 600ml ones and in 3 weeks or so they are full of water !

First our Daikin aircon worked but only one room the vent wasn't working (not a major issue from what I researched)

Now we tried to test it the first time since March, yesterday and the thing even though the touchpad is ok , putting it on does nothing to the compressor outside...

Have fans on 3 and luckily we have plants all around the house. Is 28 in the house.

Also last night was 18.7 deg BELOW average odd eh .

ABC Capricornia have just been live on Facebook from a chopper showing footage of burnt areas, maybe worth jumping on there?

Sorry if I sound insensitive for asking but what is the cause of those fires.. they don't just start by themselves.

38.5 deg yep broken the November 1995 record in Yeppoon... humidity in the last hour dropped from 76 to about 36 percent which is a bit of a relief.

it is really bad out there today... 41 degrees and blowing swirly winds, any fires starting are going to be spreading very quickly.

Got to 39.5 deg humidity dropped a little to 30 percent (still humid in my opinion ) and now the with has gone NE but the damn humidity is back again at Darwin levels .

Ducted aircon not working either... luckily our home has plants around it and we have fans .

According to the BOM with the lower humidity and winds it actually feels 4deg cooler in Rocky !

41.8 in Yeppoon , damn didn't think it was going that high. Never experienced this temp in Yeppoon before. Maybe at worst a couple of 35/36's a year

Humidity down again which is good.
