[my suggestion, if you really are a journo from the Mackay Mercury, don't use Higgins or Brisbane Weather as sources. try contacting weatherzone for comment if you wanting to speak to real forecasters and meteorologists.]

Ok it has managed to get to 13c, now watch it drop as the sun goes down I wonder if i can beat my record low of 4c by 6:00pm. Batty I recon you will have frost as well tomorrow!

THAT would explain why I woke to everything frozen up there this morning. Frost that climbed about 8 foot. It was still minus 2 at 8am at the hall.

Not sure the plants I have been nurturing on my trip home will survive it. I forgot to put them under cover.

Yes not good for them at all. Glad to hear you came through this way, probably nicer in summer. Seems a bit colder this morning bigger frost as there is no breeze at all.

It is a very lovely place. Locals were very friendly. I wouldn't mind returning.
