.

[my suggestion, if you really are a journo from the Mackay Mercury, don't use Higgins or Brisbane Weather as sources. try contacting weatherzone for comment if you wanting to speak to real forecasters and meteorologists.]

We really need a "like" button sometimes. This is one of those times.

THAT would explain why I woke to everything frozen up there this morning. Frost that climbed about 8 foot. It was still minus 2 at 8am at the hall.

Not sure the plants I have been nurturing on my trip home will survive it. I forgot to put them under cover.

Yes not good for them at all. Glad to hear you came through this way, probably nicer in summer. Seems a bit colder this morning bigger frost as there is no breeze at all.

It is a very lovely place. Locals were very friendly. I wouldn't mind returning.

The tally is slowly building 20mm on the weekend and 10mm last night. A bit more today( fingers crossed) and hopefully the grass will start to grow.

Got to be in that estate in Ooralea, where many of the streets are named after Melbourne Cup winners.
