Trough and cold front to the south bringing the temperature down in Perth .
23 deg atm and 80% overcast nice and cool for this time of year.

Diving yesterday in nice 25deg waters off the Marmion Marine Park.
Lots of schools of bream around close in and trevally in the deeper reefs ,unfortunately went strong onshore winds just before lunch.

A couple of weak fronts with associated troughs going through the south west but only bringing less than 10 mms to most areas.

Front has been good for the surfers bringing some decent swell for the Margaret River Pro on this weekend.

Front touched the south west and light rain fell in some areas mainly coastal and adjacent areas.

Farmers need a good strong front and associated low to come through soon to start off the growing season.

Low and front didn't bring much rain to the south of W.A but Westerly winds were quite strong 50-60km/hrs and widespread.

High pressure system combined with the passing low has brought some cool conditions to the south west .

Chilly Easterly blowing bought down minimum temperatures last night and this morning .

Perth had a minimum of 5.5 deg and Dwellingup got down to 4.6 this morning.

Wow, 33C yesterday in Perth in May!
The seasonal lag over there is always quite strong, even after a fairly mild summer by Perth standards.

I am new to this Forum-- a long time snooper. I am thinking that this upcoming May Front will go the same way as the others this Year ---- RAPIDLY SOUTHWARDS.

Stationary high in the bight dragging up some cold air towards the south with the first below zero minimum being recorded.

Collie got down to -0.2 this morning and Bridgetown 0.1 degs.

Hopefully slip into a more moist environment soon with a few lows and fronts on their way over the next two weeks.

Looks like there might be a noticeable change in wind speed and direction, as well as moisture content of the lower troposphere come Thursday-Friday of this week smile .
