Edit Reason: Too big. Use a image resizer app or simple Paint program/app in future. A direct link to the image has been kept.

Sorry it’s a bit large, no reduction option on the iPad.

Here's what Kino was talking about, right at the end of the latest GFS run:

EDIT: I see Kino got in first with closer views of NSW. Postimage allows you to specify the size of a picture linked to a third party website.

We could sure do with 5 right now. Would be a pleasant change from this malarkey.

Shame it is at the start of a new page.. poke

Looks good, hopefully that can come to reality. Would not surprise me as it has been so dry, and it will be June.

And yeah agreed, a week of 18-20 degrees and sunshine is a bit boring. Although today was fantastic, only got to about 18 but felt really warm in the sun out of the breeze. It was nice to not have a southerly too for once!

I reckon if June doesn't produce, farmers might be screwed for a while. July-October generally aren't reliable months for good rain but there are definitely exceptions. The months that are supposed to be good rain months haven't delivered so maybe it'll flip.

Thanks for posting the maps guys.

This is almost certain to come off. I've been working indoors for months now, but around that time frame, I'm starting a new project with quite a deal of excavation required. It only ever rains when I'm excavating a new site or I take a roof off a house for a first floor extension.

You can all thank me when the drought breaks.

Lets Hope so WR.

If you have clear skies and a view of the western skyline, you should be able to see the ISS, should be happening in the next few minutes!!

Kino, if your using Imgur there is an option in the bottom right where you can change the size of the image. I always use "huge thumbnail" option when posting. smile

Thanks Morham, so what type of tree is this?

It got down to 6.4c overnight and looks like another spectacular day coming up.

Thank's Eddy, Morham.

----

Another crisp morning here. Looks like another classic Autumn day coming up.

----

The end-of-month ECL shown in GFS yesterday has now been replaced by a cold outbreak from the SW. There'd be snow on the Central Tablelands and maybe further North if that comes off, but not much rain for the coast. EC shows a more Southerly outbreak around the same time, with an ECL in the Southern Tasman, better for rain. It looks like some sort of break in the pattern will happen around the 30th, but details are still fluid. There'll be a minor cool change on the 24th, a bit like the one on Tuesday night. It won't affect the weather much, just stop it from warming up.

Typical May temperature conditions here: near normal to slightly below every day for the next week with frost every morning. However this will not prevent May ending up yet another warmer than normal month.

No rain on the horizon except the cold front mentioned by Steve777 at month end. We had a reasonable drop (20mm) from the cold outbreak last week, but now too cold to see any pasture growth.

I was in Japan for 4 days – last Friday to Monday. There it was lush green with plenty of rain (as usual). Over much of NSW on the other hand pertinaciously dry weather continues: now into its fourth month for us.

Yes, I noticed that AW. Looks like another cold night coming up again. Will be interesting to see what Marrangaroo gets down to.

Eddy, those trees would also be liquidambers.

16.2 here atm, but the fire is on in anticipation of another chilly night. Strangely enough, Richmond is still 21 deg's.
I notice Richmond got down to 1.4 deg's this morning and Camden 0.7. A little lower than forecast.

This is lovely weather at the moment, but my god it is boring.

Agree Homer. Another below average day here, and the monthly Avg dropping like a stone. Albion Park is already below average for mins, and Bellambi not far behind.

Forecast maintains below average mins and max’s right throughout - if this comes off we will be looking at a significant cooling event given last months well-above average event. Hate to say it but that fruit loop in QLD may get it right about Winter.
