True that.

Meanwhile the showers have pushed out to sea as usual.

Some chunky looking showers are brushing the Sydney coast just now.

I note that the Sydney Harbour site dropped suddenly from about 15 to below 10 and quickly bounced back. That happened just as a shower passed over. A malfunction or possibly real?

That is fresh. A nice way to start winter.

7.8c was my low overnight, it was quite a wild night with the wind then the heavy showers arrived in the early hours.
27.4mm in the 24 hours to 9am.

Thanks to everyones posts a few pages back. I guess everyone is in the same boat. Pretty gusty overnight. pool full of leaves and stuff blown everywhere.
Putting on a full day event tomorrow and of course after eons of perfect weather it looks like full on wind and the chance of showers! typical.

I would be taking the BOM outlook with a grain of salt. May as well flip a coin in my experience of those outlooks.

Got to love the irony - the day after the BoM announce a warmer drier winter, the first day we record our lowest max in 19 years, 2c below average. 😂😂😂 damn frigid.

Yeah I know, its only one day, but gotta love the weathers sense of humour. But it is 8c colder then the start of May 😲😲😲😲

Hope so Eddy - we finished May 80mm below average and are nearly 500mm below average for the year-to-date.

Edit: rainfall worse than I thought

EddyG,I am pleased you said a bit wet coast, because any rain sure is coastal.I wish the flow would turn a bit more SE so inland areas like I & Gringo's Rain might have a chance of getting some showers. We did get 10 to 12 mms here a couple of nights ago,but it only wet the dust on top.

That's quite substantial, lets hope we have a wet June.

I'm not sure how far below I am in terms of rainfall, I will check it out once I get home from work.

The rainfall forecast has been bumped up for Sydney. For the next 6 days in round figures (mm):

Code:
Sydney OH : 20 - 70
Parramatta : 10 - 35
Penrith : 3 - 15

Today felt pretty cold, hovering around 14 for most of the day with a couple of light showers, a few sunny breaks and a biting wind. Not really that cold but for OH, at 16.4, the coldest max since August 28.

P.S. Another great cloud picture Eddy.

Yep Eddy, another great pic. You certainly see some great cloud scapes off the coast up there!!

Kino, that's an enormous anomaly - down 500 mm's!! Incredible.
I'm not so sure that Eddy's figures are going to be so depressing as his little wing of the NSW coast catches a lot of moisture.

Definitely felt cold today Steve. Wind chill and constant cloud cover played a huge part. I didn't quite crack 15 deg's here today. 14.8 was the best I could do.

At a guess I reckon around 350-400mm, that's to the end of May.

Few records set today - Bellambi, Kiama and Pt Perpendicular to name a few, recorded their coldest starts to June on record. No surprises not a peep from BoM or Weatherzone. Not warm enough 🙄🙄🙄

Just saw that on the news. Lol!
Who know's what's inside. Maybe you wouldn't!!

3-400 mm's Eddy is a huge anomaly as well. I thought you'd done better than that.
Just goes to show how dry it has been everywhere.
