No doubt.
We just need to keep things in perspective. And, I'm a cold lover.

Just saw that on the news. Lol!
Who know's what's inside. Maybe you wouldn't!!

3-400 mm's Eddy is a huge anomaly as well. I thought you'd done better than that.
Just goes to show how dry it has been everywhere.

Yeah generally whatever is in those container once submerged for any length of time, contents are usually ruined.

Yeah Autumn's rainfall alone was about 200mm below, so yeah probably around the 300mm for the year to date.

I will check it all out once home.

I was more concerned about "the contents" of the containers. Lol.
Looking forward to your official figures. Doesn't sound like it will be pleasant reading at all, just like Kino's.
I'd imagine our Hunter friends figures would be much, much worse.

Hope so!! Don't want to see you being arrested!

It's quite frustrating seeing systems like this where the heaviest rain just hangs off the coast.

Oh well, our time will come. And, as I've said many times before......it will come with a flood. Probably when I start my next project, which isn't too far away. Lol.

Glen Innes already 1.1 degrees. Another cold night coming up there I would think.
Not as cold as other places at this stage but further away from the ECL so clearer and calmer conditions.

Haha!

Anyway, I'm off to watch the RL, then the Socceroos. A great night of sport.

Yep I knock off at 8pm just in time for the sport, I've already picked my bottle of red for the night!! grin

There's been some solid downpours this evening, some very strong wind gust associated with them too!!

Swell was rather impressive again this afternoon, Jimmy's beach could be a problem again!!

It would be for about 90% of the NSW coastline and it looks as if those showers out there have picked up intensity too!!

I've recorded only 3.6mm so far today and I live about 4-5ks from the coast, but if I had a rain gauge over where I work in Hawks Nest, I would guesstimate about 15-20mm there today!!

Just looking back the past couple of years May 2016 10.1mm than backed it up in June with 289.3mm. May 2017 28.1mm June 351.6mm May 2018 76.7mm June ??
Hopefully the trend continues!!

As I said in a previous post, similar SST anomalies spawned 5 ECL’s in June in 2007.

I feel the drought is progressively being broken with first the very dry Gascoyne and midwest regions in WA. Fingers crossed us next, another bit of anecdotal evidence is that Farmers often say that when Lake eyre fills there is a big rain event.
Also Kino an interesting thing also is that in June 2007 it was also a negative SAM.

Absolutely awful day with cold wind. Not winter westerly strength by any means but strong enough to be annoying. It's still windy now. It will be windy for many more days as the south/SWlies roar up the coast yet again. Really sick of these strong highs in the bight ridging up strong and dry southerly winds.

Looks like there will be a break from the wind.... next Thursday.

The band of rain out to sea moving onshore direction rather than N/S is looking better for todays prospects. 10-30mm is not a bad forecast
