Yes, was a bit one extreme to the other.

Last night was our coldest May night in the few years we've been here, -3.0, beating a pair of -2.5's from 2016. Had a cold run of nights even compared to places close to here.

Sounds a bit fresh!!

I am changing jobs after this Friday and sadly will less opportunity to post on here. It was quite relaxed here for that sort of thing but I am going back into Chartered Accountancy as an auditor and the opportunity for posting will be much less. frown

I will check on my phone when i can but hate posting on my phone.

I will still enjoy reading the posts of my Tassie compatriots, old & new(er) smile

In a few months we might get NBN on at home and do a bit more. smile

Oohh, back to the future, taking a grown up with a grown up pay check! poke Presume it has something to do with the current employer moving the business. Anyway hope it doesn't come as too much of a shock to the system - best of luck with the new adventure - no doubt we'll hear something here, just not as much.

Just remember dollars are worth more and therefore buy less than they did when you last accounted! My accounting 'gold nugget' of advice that'll see you right wink If people took my business advice, then a lot of people would have a lot more leisure time but little money to spend on having a good time...

Cheers lads.

Once things settle down in a month or 2 I should have some time to get more active again. Maybe mostly nights smile

You guys are now smashing us in the ytd rain stakes - shame you're getting it in clumps and not smoothed over time!!

We are about 167 ytd with nothing in sight - you know the feeling smile

Windy old night again with the power out for 1 hr and winds gusting to 66kmhr for the last 8 hrs.
Averaging 35kmhr for 2 hrs straight.
Had to help clear a large wattle tree off the road at Oyster Cove tonight so we could get home.
Off to Liawenee tomorrow for the trout open day where they spawn.

The only model though!!
Seems to like forecasting different to all the other models!
Like the rain event!!!!! 5mm then changed to 75mm then we ended up with 226.4mm!!
Drizzle all day up at Great Lake. Only 1.4mm for the day though.
Caught a few fish with the girls at Liawenee and cut a trailer load of wood.
Good day for sitting around the big out door fire!

Hi all , lazing back in tropical Cairns.
Nice up here and perfect golf weather days.
Just looking at Hobart and noticed yet another 20c day in the mix so late in the month . Also looks like the next 10 days are nothing but dry and sunny thanks once again to the now permanent High pressure system. I wonder if we will ever see a month this year without a 20 degree day ? If these Highs stay there wich is looking like the case it's going to be Claytons Winter.

Late in which month? I can't see a 20 within the next week or so. Already under 3 tonight, but other places locally aren't as cold so there is some cloud about, similar to last night. Either way, a week of frosty nights ahead.

Snow on the Mt this morning to 800m.
Not real work here!!!

Why go up there H20 on a holiday? That would be like booking a trip to hell going to such heat for a man like your self. (A cold lover and all)

Wait and see, 30 years is a long time, this year hasn't started in a blaze of snow filled glory - although plenty of time yet - not that the BOM outlook is overly favorable (for what they worth).

Tonight is our 18th frost of the season (sitting on 1.3), tracking more or less on par with last year. Will most likely be the 9th night below 0.

First sub 10 degree day of the winter in Hobart, 9.8c. Not enough wind to break the inversion layer.

Hi all,
-2.4 degrees up here at Great Lake.
Liawenee is already -4.7 degrees.
Blow a hose on the digger today so back to Hobart in the morning to get a new one.
Will be up here till Wednesday.
Frost lasting all day in patches on the drive in the shade.
