Wowsers! Nice find. Why did they open it? Need a flush or contamination?

Thanks Guys and thanks Beltane for the link.

Well my top temp today was 17.9c, the cloud certainly played a big roll in keeping the temp down.

Interesting video on the opening of Smith's Lake.

---

The radar is showing light rain moving across Sydney from the West. Nowhere in Sydney has registered any rain yet, although amounts up to 3 mm have been recorded in the Tablelands and Central West.

---

It was chilly today, with semi-translucent perspex dome skies allowing some heating. Most of Eastern Sydney maxed around 17 (17.0 at OH), but the outer West, which had a cold start, only made it to about 14 (13.4 at Penrith).

Yep.

I love them.
They keep days colder during winter if the timing is right.
It's been a long time coming!!
Some very steady rain here atm. More than I thought considering the forecast.

Yeah I'm enjoying it right now as it is something different to usual. And yes these are types of days where you can get maximums below 10 degrees in western Sydney.

The Bureau is absolutely off their chops to suggest a high of 21 under a north-west cloudband. Case in point is 13.4 at Penrith. I have a feeling that the strike is to blame.
I remember when people were making predictions for winter, for their to be a snowfall there must be a north-west cloudband to cool down the inland.
Although I was thinking what could've been if a cold front slammed into this cloudband.

Don't forget that BoM have cut down their 'human' staff to maybe 1-2 forecasters, with most of the forecasts being automated. Due to lack of funding from the government this will only get worse as the human is replaced solely by the computer, which will have no idea.

Temps are struggling again today, no surprises there.

Forecast rain for here tomorrow 5-20mm, I wouldn't be surprised if we get more than that.
