Trying to be the opposite to the wet summmer tb, mind you this is a dream run so far into summer and regardless of the extreme golf addicts, eg P****s and H****K, (the latter who is considering golf), we are continuing on track to be endowed (todays word) with this beaut cool weather, and yes it is GOOD..

Worked over Glenmaggie this AM, slight breeze, blue sky, mid 20's - very nice for January.

Little bit of work on HK yet, he'll come round though....... :-)

It'll be all gone next model run. No hope for this fail at life crummer, it's a write-off. Sure as hell won't see any storms in the near future either.

Good... had better be gone! Otherwise it'll cost my area all that rain that we DESPERATELY needed! And I'm sure people like Doogasnow, Darkhazord, and Lucy will agree. smile

That bloody Samboz, he wont venture down out of his arie up there in the moist green foothills surrounded by fat lambs trying to work out which one is next for a sumptuous spit roast (he hasn't invited you up yet??).

Besides, I don't want the extra competition, I'm the worst golfer in Maffra and I don't want to go through the emotional strain of having yet ANOTHER newbee push me down lower in the pecking order. Also I suspect he has connections "high up" - the current Royal Maffra Golf Club President might gang up with his Briagalong and foothills mates and demand a better performance from a townboy like me wink [edit] - jeez here comes the Briag spellun thing again..... frown

The next 8-10 days (to me, going by GFS/ACCG) don't show any heat wave event building up for Vic. This could end up being a relatively "Temperate January"?

I have no idea what Feb will bring, ..bulike most Vic's I hope it might involve a WA cyclone to provide another NW cloudband into the "greedy Gippslander's" region. wink

... and if it does, I'll be calling apon the accomplished bush poet ThunderBob to post some suitable prose to capture the event!

smile I'm sure t'b can delve into his lexion of prose and whip out the odd shakespearean prose to accomplish your wishes Mr. P*****, it's sure going nice so far.

P, as far as golf, on the one and only game in a lifetime, failed to qualify for the N.A.G.A. prize on the day at the Heyfield Course.

Pick up the spelling too thanks ..lol.. ;-)

Edit..must rush off, have to partake of a magnificent sheep curry that I whipped up !

Yeah, perhaps we new a new thread for the coming period:
"Jan 17 to Whenever: Nothing to see here. Please move along."

If a WA cyclone or low does give us another drench from the NW, Petros, I promise I will draw from the cornucopia of florid phrases to celebrate.

Still hints of a cold front and/or low pressure trough swinging across parts of Victoria next week, so might bring some shower and thunderstorm action! Thoughts on this guys? smile

ASF, they way I read it, GFS (only model updated atm) shows us getting grazed by frequent frontal systems crossing/grazing Vic in the 8 day outlook, but nothing screaming storms at me on the current run.

HK's got into my head, I'm going to sneak a slab of beer into a suitcase and catch a train with him to Mildura for a dose of warm weather and to get our share of the record global temperatures we are told we're presently experiencing. If we get kicked off at Ararat, then we'll hitch-hike to Darwin.
