Yeh after you mentioned the website Homer I had a look and the quality of info is great. Although it is snow focused so I still much rather this forum.

Yes, it IS snow focused. Go figure. Ski.com!!
But a lot of info and ob's comes from far and wide, and they are also more into posting maps and charts and forecasts. Even our own davidg posts there which is great. Other former WZ forum members do as well, and from all sorts of locations other than just the snowfields.
I like both sites and religiously check both sites with systems like this one upcoming.
Both are great sources of comment and info.

Lots of short wave troughs embedded in an unstable flow - quite unusual for June, and so early on. Pity the flow wasnít more southerly for us - weíd see better chances of snow in places like BMís and Robertson.

Haha! Me too.
But......there's much better information provided there than here, except for all the Off Topic comments. Poor Claude Cat...Ö.. lol.

Also, the current Observations threads keep us up to date in all sorts of places. Far more informative.

Agree. I've got over 10,000 posts on that forum but it's a one trick pony (this type of system is right in its wheelhouse) and is no good for storms, ECLs, heatwaves, etc!

I'll be snow chasing for sure. So busy this week but it all ends just in time for the weekend. Haven't even had time to check the models so the info here is great atm!

EC staying firm with its outlook, extremely cold, wild weather for Snowies & Tablelands. Canberra a good chance of seeing snow in the ĎBurbs this weekend.

It then likes a decent coastal rain event early next week - this cold pool could deliver for most people!

MetEye pushes majority of snow to Sunday but far out itís widespread and continues into Monday before coastal rain event.

keep rolling systems through like this with a little bit all round and it will keep people happy. The coastal event looks pretty marginal though and could go either way. Probably another copy of recent events with little penetration to areas that needed it. Decent cold outbreak for sure. Bodes well for the 1 in 50 event Im hoping for this season....

Rain/snowfall totals have dropped a fraction this afternoon, and temps have similarly risen a fraction. It's still a beast of a system though.
That low entering Bass Straight atm looks brilliant.

Yeah was just looking at that - that cold pool looks amazing, stunning for early June. Still think itís going to be a significant event. EC hasnít backed off from decent rain for coastal Sydney and north either, sadly though for south itís lacklustre.

Charts seem to suggest a bit more of an event for the Snowies, less so the CTís for mind? Sure thereíll be a few flakes around Black Springs/Oberon and Orange but maybe not much accumulation.

I agree. But Meteye is only going for up to 20mm once the winds turn southerly for my neck of the woods!! I will go out on a limb and say about 40-50mm but wouldn't be surprised if its double that!!

Sunday night through to Monday morn looks like the best time to me for some flakes around Oberon.
Quite interesting charts for the next few days. Will be interested to see where gets what.

Real 'calm before the storm' stuff here today - mild sunny day, winds increasing. Radar showing pre-frontal showers on the Oberon Plateau so the wind change isn't far away.

All models have screwed us for the coastal showers/rain event now frown keeping it all off the coast with the stray shower detaching and wandering across.
