Looking damn dry for next 2 weeks at least, for everywhere except western Victoria. SAM going positive.

Same here, although it was overcast and drizzly here to about 3pm when we had a late bit of sunshine.

Thank goodness we didn't get the drizzle here.
Finally got the slab poured today, although the concretors are still there (yes, at 5.00 pm) because the slab is still drying. We even put accelerant in the mix.
Gonna be a cold night. Already 10.8 degs here.
I see that Perisher got down to minus 12 this morning. Brrrrrr!!

Looks like another bitterly cold night ahead, already only 11 here. Last night the temp dropped 4c in 30 mins at 6pm.

Thurs-Friday at least were warm days outside!
But yeah, the water may still be ok.
5-17C today, and 3-19C tomorrow - with the prediction of frost!
We have only had a couple this winter, and normally only get a handful anyway at home (they get quite a few more further up the valley, esp from Greta on), so will be interesting to see if we get one tomorrow.

MHL shows ocean temperatures at nearly 19 off Sydney, which wouldn't be unusual in November. It briefly dipped below 17 last week.

Feels chilly inshore. Saturday was at least a couple of degrees cooler than the previous weekend

I haven't had a frost yet, only average about 2 a year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a frost or two over the coming weekend.

Light frost this morning, and minimum only 1C, so a couple of degrees lower than forecast.(hard to predict minimums sometimes)
Going for 19C max, so slightly above average for July.

Surf was too flat here, and with the Illawarra's usual 30-40knots of offshore wind I did not venture in.

I estimated the week before at 17C, based on purely on feel and 50 years of swimming/surfing.

Could get interesting here in Bowral tomorrow afternoon/evening. Very cold uppers (-31 at 500mb and -11 to -12 at 700mb) - although 850mb are only around 0 to -1. No shortage of moisture, and these systems tend to produce snow in some odd places!

No sign of decent rain on the horizon for inland NSW. If the models are any guide, July will probably end up close to average temperatures, but yet another drier than normal month - at least totals will be better than last July. Potential for very cold air next Wednesday with 850mb temperatures at -3C.

At present I am in Tokyo, where the heat and humidity are incredibly oppressive. No shortage of rain in Japan with some areas in western Honshu getting 1000mm within 24 hours.

That wandering cold pool might produce a surprise tomorrow.
The chance of local thunder is now in the Sydney forecast.

Be interesting to see what that pool of cold air does. On another note, has anyone noticed the temps at Jindabyne of late? The forecast temps there have been quite low, particularly the maximums. Seems to be quite a cold winter at Cooma Airport too.
