A frontal system with a deep low will bring showers to the south in the next few days .
Some good falls already experienced in the south west and adjacent areas.

Its going to cold, windy and wet and I be in amongst it all for a week come tomorrow.
Can't say I'm looking forward to it..

Couldn't say that was a strong front that went through the south west last night.
Nonetheless it produced a splattering of rain over a widespread area, from the Gascoyne to the south coastal and adjacent areas.

Strong front coming through today and BOM's got the warnings out.

Severe Weather Warning

for DAMAGING WINDS, ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES and DAMAGING SURF

For people in Lower West, South West and parts of South Coastal and Great Southern districts.

Issued at 4:43 am Wednesday, 25 July 2018.

The passage of a strong cold front and deep low will result in the potential for severe weather conditions across southwest WA during Wednesday.

Weather Situation:
A developing strong cold front and low may produce severe weather conditions across southwest WA from late Wednesday morning through to early Thursday morning. The worst weather is expected southwest of a line from Mandurah to Walpole.

The strong cold front and deep low may produce DAMAGING WINDS to 100 kilometres per hour that could result in DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY. The threat of DAMAGING WINDS is likely from around 10am about the Southwest Capes, extending to the Perth Metropolitan area from around midday and throughout remaining parts of the warning area during Wednesday afternoon.

In isolated areas DANGEROUS GUSTS in excess of 125 kilometres per hour are possible and could cause SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE or DESTRUCTION TO HOMES AND PROPERTY.

Tides between Mandurah and Walpole are likely to rise above the normal high tide mark early Wednesday morning with very rough seas and potential flooding of low-lying coastal areas. This area will extend east to include Albany late Wednesday morning.

DAMAGING SURF CONDITIONS are possible along coastal parts between Cape Naturaliste to Walpole, which could cause BEACH EROSION.

Thunderstorms and small hail are also possible with the passage of the front.

Locations which may be affected include Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Mandurah, Manjimup, Margaret River, Mount Barker, Perth, Harvey, Lancelin, Walpole and Yanchep.

This front is expected to be windier than a typical front and is likely to produce the kind of weather that is only seen around twice a year. The worst weather is expected southwest of a line from Mandurah to Walpole.
