Jeez the fire WNW of Heyfield look to be significant, given its signature on the BOM radar. Best wishes for all property owners out that way.

This Watch & Act message is being issued for Boola, Coopers Creek.

There is a bushfire at Coopers Creek that is not yet under control.
The bushfire is travelling in a south-easterly direction towards Tyers-Walhalla Rd.
Don't wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly.

What you should do:
Monitor changes to the situation. Increased wind speed, change in wind direction, smoke or poor visibility can indicate the situation is changing.
If you are away from home, do not return.

If the situation changes or you feel unsafe you should leave:
Take your pets, medications, mobile phone and charger.
Travel to the home of family or friends that are away from the warning area.
Do not travel to Walhalla as spot fires are starting in the area.

1 mining era cottage lost at Walhalla but nothing else at this time, fire activity has reduced significant with rain. There was very significant spotting into the Walhalla township.

Wow, thanks for posting Logansi - what a close call it was up at Walhalla last night. Heard Michael on the ABC this morning saying the 11mm in 10 mins basically saved the town. Well at least from Round 1.

Didnít really want to be posting on this thread
Again, but after a cool two weeks or so it
Looks like another severe heatwave is on
Itís way toward end of next week. So I
Suppose this period will bring more fire risk
With it! Still very dry around here thatís
For sure!

It's ridiculously dry Dooga - both superficially and deeply. Will be drier by next weekend. Have to hope the heat isn't broken by strong winds.
