This current cut off low in the Bight near Ceduna moving N-NE is a low from Hell as far as the East of the State is concerned. All rain has been confined to the west and there will be very little penetrating eastwards. While it is not all bad as the Eyre Peninsula has had some very handy rain it shows what happens to the south when we are cut off from the Westerlies which have been plentiful this August. The current pattern reminds me of Summer ( well it is coming). A low tracts across the inland areas- gives us absolutely nothing in the south but gets nicely reinforced when it gets some Pacific Ocean moisture when it approaches the East of Australia. So good news for coastal NSW. I don't suppose everyone can win out!!
