Timing of the change on the weekend looks poor in GFS, especially for northern SEQ with the change reaching the border early evening. Some fairly decent CAPE predicted though peaking near 2000 near the border at 4pm. Steering winds look W-NW so maybe not so good for pushing storms ahead of the change.
Can see some development West of here Hope we can something on the coast in the way of a storm but I'm not holding my breath. That onshore breeze from the noreast feels dry and quite cool.Satellite pic looks interesting though
Nice little cells around Urbenville! Looks to be chalked full of hail. Moving towards the east northeast, will it make it to the coast? Also very small cells west of here starting to fire up. Will be watching... Only need another 10.5mm for an average month.

Michael - your eyes to the west.
Gday all, Im surprised a thread hasn't been started up yet for these potential thunderstorms through until Sunday? It's almost like everyone's been caught off guard. Anyway, hopefully we see some action over the next few days! Cheers 👍
The Beauy Beenleigh corridor has/had peak hr traffic this arv/eve, , Here is what the 1st cell looked like during the setting of the sun from GC Nth Burbs. Bit rough pic, tho get the idea
3.5 cm hail at Marburg according to BOM STW warning.
We don't often get decent-sized hail in SEQ at night, especially not this time of year.
"A supercell hailstorm has just swept over Marburg and it’s turned everything white! The roar of the hail was deafening, road conditions are dangerous due to ice on the road!" https://www.facebook.com/ACMeteorologist/
