Looks like the GC is getting quite a bit of heavy rain, nothing severe according to the BOM though. Look at that storm near Tewantin go though - black core for the past half hour.

Missed out here - wondering if the storms which came through have taken the edge off here, or if there is more to come.

That storm up the Coast has just been classified as a VDS

I wouldn't right things of at 1500 either, in fact 1500 is usually our peak storm time as it is the hottest part of the day, in Seq the majority of our storms fire off between 1500 - 1900 but as with most things there are exceptions to the rules. Mother nature will do what she wants when she wants.

Too late to write anything off here... this small storm near Logan sure packed a lot of lightning and thunder for its size! Lots of clear-air bolts spitting out of it before:

Awesome pic Ken. Would have loved to be there watching the bolts from the blue! Great storm structure.
On another note, I thought the Carindale/Capalaba/Cleveland area was suppose to be storm central? They have seemed to miss a few lately.
Nothing here yet. Much more stable feel to the air as compared to yesterday. Who knows, maybe another surprise night storm is in the offing....

So it's split into severe left and right movers (and we're stuck with all the rubbish in between). I wonder if that right mover south-west of Amberley will live on to the coast.

Looking at the radar earlier and I thought we might get some action here this afternoon, but pretty much missed it all today. Caught the very edge of what's hitting the city and Northside currently, with a massive 0.8mm added to our weekends rainfall total...lol.
