Sadly. I thought it did very well to intensify as it did considering that its inflow was choked, although it probably got it its juice from the outflow boundary of the bigger cell?

The cell hit Ipswich and Greenbank and has turned into a right mover. It is a compact little storm hitting us on the Northside right now. Plenty of crackers going off and a nice bit for of rain. The cell moving in your direction has been labeled severe. See how it pans out for you. Hopefully you get something.

I think BoM have been a little pedantic with their track maps. So far the storms have made it past their warning areas where as WZ had a more blanket area

Nice photo G'berg.

Nothing much from that last cell that has just gone through the City and northside, although as NF has said we were probably in the middle of the stronger cells. Some nice cracks of thunder and it is still raining here.

19mm of rain in less than 4 minutes and a 41Kts wind with pea sized hail here in Ocean View.

Excuse the fuzzy photo, my phone lens steamed up and then I got cold.!

First direct-hit storm of the year here, although most have missed us I'm loving this year so far for storms.

If it keeps this up it should be a great season. Makes me look forward to Wednesday quite a bit.

Awesome photo Gberg shocked

I managed to get to the top level of a shopping centre carpark on the Gold Coast. While I was doing a handheld pano,i caught this strike which was a fluke. Very difficult to catch a bolt in daylight.

THIS cell that started west of Amberley AP and ran all the way up to and off the Sunshine Coast has done some fairly extensive tree damage up through the Glasshouse Mountains tonight according to a friend down that way. The roads disappeared under leaf litter in some parts.
