Hey Wet Snow. I would take out one of the forums. Go for Ski.com and like Homer said you would have a greater audience there, or the 2nd ; Australian Weather Forum.
Stay away from CD weather. Saw stuff there today that was just not funny.

It was not only not funny, it was disgraceful.
Those from WZ that want to migrate there can go for it. Good riddance.

Hello Folks:
Here's previous weeks' weather in Mena, Arkansas:

DATE........HIGH.......LOW........RAIN
July....7..88F/31.1C..67F/19.4C..---
.........8..88F/31.1C..69F/20.5C..---
.........9..87F/30.5C..67F/19.4C..3.00"/76.2mm
........10..92F/33.3C..68F/20.0C..0.65"/16.5mm
........11..87F/30.5C..65F/18.3C..---
........12..85F/29.4C..63F/17.2C..---
........13..87F/30.5C..67F/19.4C..0.10"/2.5mm

This past week featured warm & muggy conditions with plenty of rainfall. Actually got hit twice by heavy heating showers on the 9th: Had 1.40"/35.5mm in heating shower that hit around 1PM, then skies mostly cleared for a short time, and then another heating shower (following the same path as the previous one) hit us, giving a further 1.60"/40.6mm rain; quite a good daily raintotal for July. A weak Canadian cold front passed through on the 10th. Scant showers on the 13th were from a broken extreme NW rainband of Tropical Storm Barry (the center of circulation being in S Louisiana); my area is on the drier NW/W side of the circulation. Showers from the remnants of Barry in my area are expected to continue today (Sunday) & into Monday; drier and warmer conditions are expected the remainder of the week.

Thanks Much to Steve777, Colin Maitland & Homer as to the options on where to continue this thread. Many Thanks To ALL for your support, interest, posts & views. I think I'm leaning towards the ski.com forum. I hope my posts will be entertaining and informative to the folks there as well.

Kind Wishes--Take Care--GOD Bless~~~Wet Snow

Hello Folks:

In these parts, it's said that if it rains on the 1st day of a month, it'll rain on 15 days in that month. Even in our wettest months, it's kinda hard to squeeze 15 measurable raindays out of a month.
Official rain observations for Mena started in Dec. of 1890. Below, I'll list the months with 15 (or more) official days with measurable rain. *=Measurable rain on the 1st day of that month.

1892: May; 1897: Mar.; 1907: May; 1908: Apr.; 1909: June; 1912: *Apr.; 1914: *Dec.; 1915: *Aug.; 1916: *Jan.; 1919: *May & June; 1921: June; 1922: May; 1923: Oct.; 1925: *Oct.; 1928: June; 1929: *May; 1931: Nov. & *Dec.; 1933: July & *Aug.; 1937: Jan. & Dec.; 1939: *June; 1941: *Oct.; 1942: June; 1944: *May; 1945: Feb., Mar. & June; 1946: May; 1948: Feb.; 1949: Jan.; 1950: Jan. & July; 1953: July; 1956: *Feb.; 1957: Mar., *Apr. & *May; 1958: Apr.; 1961: Mar.; 1965: May; 1966: *Aug.; 1968: May; 1973: Mar., Apr. & Sep.; 1975: May & June; 1978: *May; 1979: *Apr.; 1981: *May; 1982: *May; 1983: May; 1984: Oct.; 1985: Nov.; 1986: * June; 1989: *July; 1990: *Mar. & *May; 1991: Apr., May & *Dec.; 1992: June & Dec.; 1993: *Jan.; 1994: July; 1995: *May; 1996: July; 1998: Jan.; 2002: *Mar. & *July; 2003: June & *Nov.; 2004: June, Oct. & *Nov.; 2007: June; 2009: *May, Sep. & Oct.; 2014: Dec.; 2015: *Mar. & May; 2016: July & Aug.; 2017: *Jan.; 2018: Feb. & 2019: *Feb.

There are 1,531 possible months between Dec. 1890-June 2019. Of that number, 90 months had 15+ raindays (5.8%); of those months, 35 months had measurable rain on the 1st day of that month (38.8%; or 2.28% of the 1,531 months).

Kind Wishes--Take Care--GOD Bless~~~Wet Snow
P.S. Is that saying common in Australia? ("If it rains on the 1st day of the month, it'll rain on 15 days that month").

Hello logansi & ALL:

So sorry for not posting Mena's weekly weather here, but for the last number of days, the NWS site has listed Mena's daily readings (Yesterday's High/Morning Low/Temperature at Observation & Rainfall) as M (Missing) & the ncdc site for Mena is notoriously slow to update (their readings go to July 16th currently).
I'll post the readings here whenever they become available.
After the 29th, I'll be on ski.com (in General & World Weather).
I can tell you that the temperatures have fallen somewhat through last week: Maximums have been 90F+/32C+ and down to around 83F/28C and mornings have fallen from around 70F/21C down to around 60F/15C--feels cooler & refreshing as a weak cold front came through. Not bad temperatures for late-July for sure. Very pleasant to work outdoors, although the humidity levels are creeping up again.

Kind Wishes--Take Care--GOD Bless~~~Wet Snow

Hello Folks:

I regret not to be able to post Mena's weather here any longer. I'm still waiting for the ncdc site to update (their readings for Mena go through July 16--they are notoriously slow to update at times); so I'll have to wait for the updates for the days of July 17th-25th.

I'll continue this thread on the ski.com site; in the General & World Weather section; Mena, Arkansas Weather thread.

I've enjoyed my 17 years on this wonderful forum. Many Thanks To ALL For Your Views, Interest, Replies & Input!

As Always Kind Wishes--Take Care--GOD Bless~~~Wet Snow/David J. Powell
