Hi all,

Cold this morning at home with a minimum of -1.2 C light frost on the ground.

Rainfall for September in Brighton was a whopping 15.6mm, not near as bad as other places around the country, but not great either especially coming into summer. Will be intresting to see how things lead into the summer. grin

I see they are forecasting 24 sun and 26 for mon. That'll keep the warm weather lovers happy and MH20 less than happy.

Yes looks like a great weekend and early week.
5.6mm in the last 24hrs.
At least something. 8.4mm for month.
SDI is getting dry quickly with elnino now a 70% chance.

Just saw the Hobart Aerological sounding from today. It recorded 850mb (around 1600m) temps of around -7! About as cold as it gets in terms of 850mb temperatures in Aus. Although the upper temps were comparatively extremely warm, even being warmer at the 700mb (around 3000m). Quite odd

Unsurpisingly with those numbers, it was quite dry overnight despite some places being cold (Mount Wellington below -4)

If Hobart achieves a 25 early next week, it'll be the first over 25 since the 17th of March - unusually the 17th of March was also the last day to reach 30 at 30.1.

Hey just joking I don't think that you'd like the beer up there anyway.
Looking at the percentiles for October 2017 till January 2018 all exceeded the 95% above average mark. Given that I think it will be unlikely of a repeat again this year . I just have a gut feeling of a cool wet 6 to 7 month period despite El Nino.

Hi from climate change central Hobart,
Well tomorrow we see Hobart well above the Mainland capitals for max temps. Once again I say if these changes and events were happening in Sydney it would be front page news. But as it is Hobart not a mention about being 9 and 10 degrees over average and then back to 4 or 5 degrees over average.
Oh well another Hobart day that will be about what it is Cairns Queensland.
Thank god for air con have them all fired up ( 4 ) still 21c out and not a breath of wind . It's only October what hell ride ahead.
