Very heavy rain here in Noosa. That and thunder thankfully is all. Concern about Gympie and the towns north of here.

The building in the background behind the shredded trees is Coolabunia State School.
Our guys just came through there & said the windows are all smashed; kids still in the classrooms & the Fire Brigade are getting them out .
Must have been scary for them; the only thing there is the school; no other houses around it.

Another cell hitting us at Bracken Ridge at 1423. Just good rain and solid rumbles. I think unfortunately by looking at the radar there will be more damage to the North. Stay safe everyone up there.

Insane! Hook has been there for an hour now! Another potential supercell also near Goondiwindi. Family there say it's very green, with a well developed wall cloud.

Gympie got nailed. Footage of house windows being broken by golf ball hail. John Madill won't be too happy at the Toyota dealership.

Is the storm impacting Goomeri at present forming a tornado to its NW??

Kingaroy must have a shield up or something, everywhere else has been smashed by hail and wind, all we've had is just a bit of rain and noise which is good I suppose.

Just had a look out my office door and there are good looking towers going up towards Goondiwindi. So expect something from that later.

I cannot remember a recent time where so many black cores formed to the NW of the Sunny Coast - Gympie. Quite extraordinary! Goomeri and Kilkivan are in direct line of what looks to be a nasty storm. Wouldn't be surprised if they get caught up in a tornado.
