very over cast here at the moment, had a couple of rumbles in the distance but that's about it .. not as muggy or humid as yesterday ... the air is completely still ....

jebus! i just looked at the SINGLE radar image and the black core almost stretches from Kingaroy to Nanango!!!!!!!!!! probably quite a distance really between them but on the radar it just looks impressive to see a black core that big!

@kazz - bloody hell - i hope you have some where to shelter in that big shed if it get's too hairy!

The black core is about 25 km wide - pretty amazing. It looks like it might just go between Kingaroy and Nanango, sparing both.

BOM warning requesting SEWS. Also says Weather Situation: Very large hail (larger than golf balls) is likely within the core of this thunderstorm.

I reckon Lani's seedlings would be having a nice drink of nitrogen enriched liquid gold at the moment.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's the odd embedded tornado in that cell.

Storm just sitting over Bracken Ridge at 1255. Nice cracks of thunder.
Radar is looking thick and beefy as mentioned there is pretty nasty winds showing on Doppler.
Hopefully no more fatalities or injuries from this round.

Looks like it has some company now with another popping up out near Chinchilla. Tornadoes are certainly possible.
