When I saw this amount of shear going through that region this morning on stormcast I was quite worried about what might eventuate. Hope everyone on your side of the border is doing alright.
I wonder what the Bureau will rate that tornado on the Enhanced-Fujita Scale.

I believe not. There is some convergence of systems moving East and North-East

Hey guys I've been out amongst it all near Murgon, the first one went 20ks to my south and the 2nd i only got a glancing blow, torrential rain but wasn't much wind. Such a hard chase day with you not being able to see a shelf cloud until you're in harms way. A lot of low cloud was getting sucked in though which looked amazing.now i have to see if i can get home to noosa!

That was my other guess.

ABC news radio just mentioned the tornado warning, and said 3 people have been taken to Kingaroy hospital for minor cuts after their windscreen was smashed by the hail at Coolabunia.

EDIT: can't wait to see the pics gberg, stay safe out there!

higgins and his partner got caught in Tansey they reversed into a farmers shed, had that shed not been there - lives would have been lost for sure ... the video at the end is just incredible - hopefully he will have learnt a valuable lesson today!!!!

Maybe just a temporary disruption from the hills around Tiaro? The one that went through Gympie did the same then cleared its throat again afterwards.

Higgins is always a crisis merchant. The video did show a tornado but the only way a life would have been lost in their car was in hail struck him in the head or something flew through the window. Pretty sure he ended the stream on his own accord.
