From later tomorrow (Oct 4th), areas of rain, showers and thunderstorms should begin to affect the SEQLD/NENSW region courtesy of a low/trough combo.
There are indications that this unsettled weather could persist for sometime, and so if necessary, the dates of this thread can be extended.

Looking forward to what the next few days bring, even if it is just a bit of rain.

Interesting watching this move through western NSW and seeing very nice totals under the storms. 30- 40mm with a couple over 50mm and even one report of 100mm. With nearly zero moisture feed into this system from the NE yet it is dropping some surprising numbers. Lets hope its a sign of things to come.

Glad to hear you got rain. I respect your willingness to tackle moving parts in weather instruments. That skill is dying art☔️

I'm surprised were not getting the rain by now when you consider what Sydney is copping at the moment and were in a more warmer enviroment

Distant thunder heard earlier this evening. 3.4mm here from light rain which began in the early evening.

There is a developing low off the Sydney/Hunter Coast which is helping to bring all the rain down there.

I left Cunnumulla this morning around 9.30 a.m in a nice little thunderstorm, plenty of thunder and lightning action occurring there after a night of showers that didn't drop a huge amount of rain, but enough to settle the dust....hopefully they got some decent rain from the storm. Drove through areas on way to St George that had obviously gotten better falls overnight, arrived in St George on the tail of some decent rain having fallen there. Supposed to be camped the night South of Nindigully tonight, but after seeing thier Facebook page and how much rain they got at Nindigully today we canned that idea, would be a mudhole about those parts currently. Driving through Gatton around 7.15 p.m tonight I struggled to see where I was driving at times in the downpour occurring there.

Good soaking down here. I believe over 30mm down in Stanthorpe and surrounding areas. Here, we have had less, but by looking at the gauge, we have had over 20mm with steady rain still falling. A few rumbles also around 0230 during a brief heavy rain event. Looks like they have upped the rain amounts during the mid part of next week. Things are looking up.

Good to see some rain your way at last Warwick, not real impressed with the direction all this is going. Hope we get something next day or so up here.
