for DESTRUCTIVE WINDS, HEAVY RAINFALL and LARGE HAILSTONES
For people in parts of Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.
Issued at 5:06 pm Monday, 29 October 2018.
DESTRUCTIVE STORM SOUTH OF BLUFF, MOVING NORTH TO NORTHEAST TOWARDS DINGO.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones over the next several hours in parts of the Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts. Locations which may be affected include Emerald, Biloela, Blackwater, Moranbah, Springsure and Carnarvon National Park.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce destructive winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones over the next several hours in parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Capricornia districts. Locations which may be affected include Duaringa and Tartrus.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Maranoa and Warrego district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
117km/h wind gust has been recorded at Rolleston at 4pm.

I think Rockhampton might be going to get a reasonable drop out of this storm. Mt Morgan looks to be on about the southern extent of it.

An interesting hypothesis, but I am not too sure. The amount of energy in a storn is huge compared to the tiny amount of heat Stanwell would put out.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce very large hailstones, damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Emerald, Clermont, Blackwater, Moranbah, Mitchell, Tambo, Springsure, Dysart and Carnarvon National Park.
56mm of rainfall in one hour was recorded at Peak Vale (southwest of Clermont).
