Looks like i missed out on the biggest falls and if you were outside that zone there was a huge gradient. From yesterday i picked up 19.9mm., but Bankstown Ap 2km from me picked up 32.8mm. But then again that's how weather is often. I can easily see myself reaching 150mm this months I'm already up to 108.2mm. On top of the 68.1mm last month this has been a real life line although definitely not a drought breaker. Although other areas in Sydney will do much better than me this month.

I was right under the rain train at my location in Stanhope Gardens. Picked up 50mm between midnight and now. I am now up to 128.3mm for the month. Good thing I mowed the lawn yesterday!!

It was a relentless rain train that just got heavier as the night went on. The drought would be on it's way out around here on the coast, and there's more wet stuff on the way.

Partly cloudy here this arvo with a nice NEer blowing. The jump in dew points and temps since a few days ago makes it very pleasant shorts and t shirt weather.

Yes I have been watching this closely, looking forward to warmer sunny days followed by afternoon downpours, far more spring like than the last few weeks.

First hint that the mid spring rut weather is over now, with some sunshine and a 24 max today, above the 22C forecast, and only a trace of rain (0.2mm) reported today.
Looking like a gradual incline for the whole week, and up to 30C by the weekend.

Emptied out 27mm from the gauge this morning, so the total so far for October has been 129mm here.

There is a flush of new growth on a lot of gum trees around here, and the burnt out areas along Heathcote road are looking a lot greener as well.

Here in copacabana received 127mm between 11pm and 6am last night plus 6mm during the day yesterday. That rain train was unbelievable! No thunder or wind, just a straight water bomb. A Family Friend living on wamberall beach received 160mm from it, there was local flooding everywhere nothing too extreme the ground absorbed it well 😊

You need an image hosting site.

Wow that's a lot of rain Andrew A, and nice to see your post too. Hope you're going well smile

Yeah, flickr is the one I use but there are a few different image sites. Alternatively you could put a photo on your fb and then link it here.

You werenít to far away from the R train at times last night Stormy, exept it didnít drift At all!, I hope something similar pops up tonight, could see it happening in smaller scale, sameish setup, except the mid/high level convergence keeps gravitating to north hunter, and a stronger westerly push not helping.

Sorry, silly system to upload I give up 👍
- On your Flickr, go the page of the picture you want to post.
- Click on the 'Share Photo' icon (the curved arrow symbol)
- In the box that appears, select BBCode
- On the dropdown menu in that box, select one of the sizes (any of the sizes up to and including 1024 is fine, e.g. 'Medium 800')
- Copy the link shown in the box, and paste it in the reply box on the forum. Test on Preview reply (it should work), then post. smile

Great explanation. Btw this only works on a computer or laptop, the phone app can only share a link without the coding options.
