I sure glad the worst of the heat seems to be over...hopefully a bit of low off the coast might drop some decent rain next week....wishful thinking maybe..

Had heaxt exhaustion a couple of times and now i just don't take the risk on the really bad days. When at work i do the bare minimum required and have no problem with leaving jobs for another day if it can be done.
Anyway. Heres hoping this upcoming whirlygig gives us an unanticipated cooling drink in the near future.

That is cool Simmo.

Cooled a bit here, now only 41.0 degrees.

11% humidity, so thought I'd take advantage and wash a load of towels, at 4pm... grin

Seems to be even more smokey than it was before. Doesn't seem to be as hard on the lungs, or maybe I've just gotten used to it.

Reckon the white splotch NNE of Chillagoe might be the smoke from fires in the Featherbeds.

Been a warm day today in Weipa, but the bad news was that the power was out for 7 hours. Been a rough day to say the least.

Hopefully we also get a drink too next week, very dry here.

So I am officially starting to get a little excited about rainfall potential from this low/TC.
Also, if this does actually happen, the termites were right again. Hahaha.

BoM's TC page is working now but the TL is not marked yet. Can see the track on Meteye.

I am (secretly) getting a little excited...which I know I shouldn't as (with most recent build up and wet seasons) I am frequently disappointed and I know I shouldn't.

But, I am a nylex half full kinda guy... smile

If it does happen, it's more than likely it will drift off SSE to the cyclone graveyard, never to be heard from again.
