Thanks for that Blair.

So dry around here in the non irrigated farmland. Lake Glenmaggie (the irrigation source which runs the dairy farming show around here) is 90% full - due to the great snow season, ....so we have a mixture of farmers doing "not so bad" and those desperate.

Hopefully something will arrive into this area in a weeks time.

Thanks for the info Blair, very interesting to hear and
At the same time not surprised with the figures.

Ground is already very hard out in the paddock now
When it should or usually is saturated this time of year
Up here and growth of grass is very slow and half the
Height it usually would be at this point.

2017 we finished of the year about 4inch down against
Our average.
This year to date we’re about 90mm behind.
This month has been a big blow we’re about 60mm behind

Been around Ballan, Daylesford, Maldon last few days, pleased to see some flourishing green pastures.

Makes the comparisons to Wellington Shire (Gippsland) all the more poignant.

Some very handy troughs to our N/W all the way to the WA coast over the next week or so, ACCESS has one rain bearing mass get to Vic with lots of potential for good rain oer much f the state.
Early days this far off, but next Tue 6/11 bears keeping an eye on.

EC talking an inch or so 5-6/11.

GFS has tapered of rainwise for next Mon-Tue, but all others still hold promise for decent rain over large areas.

GFS going for an Easterly Dip scenario for E Aus during the later part of next week - more rain bullish for Vic than the other models. Other models hint at a pair of cool changes over the same period, less rain, but maybe storms? Looks interesting.
