While I don't have much of an idea of how much will be recorded within the Greater Adelaide Area in the next few days... maybe 10-20 mm (??) ... I do know it will be more than 0.2 mm smile .

Vicious hail in these cells today. I'd imagine the odd thunderstorm would be turning the ground white

3 degree drop from ~8.5 to ~5.5 on Lofty between 2:00 and 2:30pm, must have nailed a core.

I wish Mt Lofty was more lofty, another 2km or so would suffice.

Downy mildew problems across the state from the recent humid period I've been told.

Happy birthday Tim (Teckert). Not quite as memorable weatherwise as in 2005.

Some magnificent convection going up over the Northern Mt Lofty Ranges and Barossa Ranges currently.

Models hinting at a VERY cold outbreak, relative to the time of year Wednesday next week. Still too far out for any certainty but if this comes off expect unusually cold temperatures and plenty of small hail. Upper cold pool of -31 (500mb) is forecast over Adelaide by both GFS and EC atm.

Yer been watching this one, EC at 12Z yesterday had the coastlines copping a beating. Gusts to 110km/h and waves at 14ft high. Expecting this to change as it predicts the position of the low but should be an interesting late week,

Got absolutely slammed here - my big pine tree was really whipping around - a few minutes before 7pm, lasted about 5 minutes. Had the doors open to get some air in - they all slammed shut.
