Nice try by the greedy money driven mongrels.

Not sure we can rely on "promises" from either side.

But yes, it's great to finally get a good fall of rain, for the first of the season. I am quite a bit over the dust and grit. Just thankful there weren't many whirlwinds this year.

It's a Holman iWeather smile our local hardware store sells them. I hope it's a good brand that's going to last awhile.

Bit of useless info. The last time Biboohra was around the same dryness for the April to October period was in 1984. 1985 was above average rainfall.
The time before that was 1961. 1962 was slightly below average but they had a great wet season with 700+mm from Jan-March with over 400mm in Feb.

They are the only 2 years that have been similar, within 20mm, since records began in 1942. The average for the period is 126.6mm. This year is 36mm.

If you're half serious, you should spend $25 on the Nylex Pro to get accurate rainfall figures.

A few moderate, but short, showers overnight. Total of about 16mm. Just enough to hold off watering the garden for a few days 😀

Yeah most serious rain collectors have one to compliment their station. I use one to back up my Davis. Small price and very accurate.

Love useless info Simmo, thx smile

I had an Oregon weather station for years, it was very close to temps measured for a long time, it's no good now. The nylex is a must.

1.4mm over the weekend. Amazing how dry it can be with 2m of rain on the board.

Cheers RF

Looks like it is going to be a little breezy this week. Will keep the temps from getting too high.
Still can't believe it is cooler, by nearly 1c, than last month and we are nearly half way through.

Certainly no notable temps but for Min/Max AP running 0.6c/0.9c above mean and racecourse is 0.2c/1.6c above last year.

Yeah DP has dropped a bit and sooo windy today.

Let's hope next weeks possible storm potential is better than the round we just had.

2mm overnight.

Don’t hold your breath for next week Simmo. Any decent falls will need to come from storms. I will cross my fingers that you get under one.

This time last year we were up the tablelands picking a Christmas tree and it was lush and green, this year it was more on the side of lush and brown.

In a couple of months we will be complaining about the rain, but loving it
