16.6mm here, was total white out conditions at the Lavarack Barracks lights around 9pm.

all models now showing ex Owen moving SW and giving Mackay to Rocky and flooding event. Just another low/tc moving too far south, same thing over and over every year.

ACCESS-R and EC push the system a bit further North, so hopefully we are still in for a chance of some semi decent rain.

Let's hope it's a bit further north than Mackay. Cardwell would be good. EC is still showing a gulf low around December 15. Maybe we can get some love from that one?

On another note, there were reports of the highway between Charters Towers & Townsville being cut last night during that storm. It will be interesting to see where exactly it was if it's true. There have been reports of hail around Charters Towers from that storm also, I thought I could hear some on our roof at one stage.

Only a few frames to see at this stage of the morning, but the Low seems to be moving WNW on the animated visible sat image. It's currently around 650Km East of Cairns, 590Km ENE of Townsville.

Nice to see, will need ex-Owen to approach the coast North of the Herbie Burdie for us to see any decent rainfall.
