Oh joy, lashing rain, strong gusts. Am I the only one who's had enough?

I'll gladly take it dormant wink

Monsoon trough looks amazing on Satellite, so much thick activity over Cape York through to the Solomon and Vanuatu Islands.

We are just getting some of the rain now, but it won't last long when it shifts to the North.

Fantastic weather , just loving it.
Been making soups and fresh breads for garlic bread this week.
Tonight is Roast Pumpkin with fresh ginger & prawns.

Been in the creek and drains with the chainsaw busting up fallen timber so it gets away and not blow the banks out.

Cheers

About an hour ago there was a big flock of squawking black cockatoos flew over and settled in the rocky crags. Must've been 20 or 30 or so. Never seen so many at once.

Nice line heading towards the city. Another 20mm so far today, not to far off the 1000mm mark now

Finally getting some serious rain on the south side. It had just been a whimper here and there all day.
... and the frogs are loving it!

We've had masses of them out here this year right up till the first rains happened... flocks of over a hundred at times hitting the different Eucalypt as they set seed.
Got some great Sunset Silhouette shots over the dry season as they headed back to roost for the night.

good drop in the valley at the moment, horizontal and almost heavy, nice line on radar from west to east might have some good totals in it .

70mm since lunchtime out here. It’s going to be weird when it stops raining.

Doing its usual. Surrounded by rain, none falling on Chillagoe township.

Edit: it actually seems to be trying, but in a wishy washy sort of way.

Rain is really pelting down here on the northern beaches for nearly the last hour.
Backyard is underwater, (again). This December is going to break a lot of records, it seems.

77mm at Bilyana, some of that rain that came through was very gusty indeed.
