Not a leaf moving here, still calm and stinking hot still

It can't be long until it reaches you. It is blowing gales here. I can see why the storms have bombed with this massive southerly.

I think brisbane has blown its chances with nothing really to the west. All the storm are heading east. Unless there will be a left mover with the cells down south then bucklies for Brissy

A couple of hours ago it was only as far north as Tweed Heads. It's still pushing through and some cells should start popping up west of Brisbane in the next hour.

I'm looking out west toward the horizon and it's trying hard. Cloud is filling out and bases are lowering, but it still looks rubbish.

I thought that too until I saw that cell just pop up over Redcliffe. We could just light up like a Christmas tree shortly!

Southerly in and vigorous, and the sky is coming to life. I wouldn’t write anything off just yet.

I don't think there'll be much west of Archerfield, but I expect to see a line pop up east of a line running NE from about Greenbank over the next 30-45 minutes.

A vigorous south-east change just pushed through Bracken Ridge. Temperature dropped about 5C over ten minutes or so. Nice baby shelf cloud riding the change up the coast (south to north direction). It was photogenic and moving quickly. As I write, it has just become lighting active off the coast of Redcliffe. It will be interesting to see how this pans out with any thunderstorms behind the change, as there is now a 50km gap between the change and the cells.

Watching a cell grow north of Ipswich. Lots of fat low cloud feeding into it from the east and developing a corkscrew base.

I can see the cell north of Ipswich from here - IMHO it doesn't look like anything to write home about right now. No thunder that I can hear either. It'll rain, but nothing like the GC.
