Does anyone have any idea where people can evacuate to higher ground if needed, the ranges have flooded rivers stopping you, castle hill has landslides closing the road, I imagine the few high rises around a booked out and if you have dogs not possible. Hell flying out seems to be the only prospect. Just stop raining please, the dam was losing height but ever so slowly.

Yo, Killahrambo, We've had our dose and now watching your area, though admittedly we're more used to downpours. Won't say stay safe, loathe that phrase, but... you understand. smile

Charters Towers has been copping it overnight. Constant rain, seems to be getting heavier now. I'm not sure how much we've had because something seems to be blocking my weather station rain gauge.

Last nights releases and reprieve of rain helped, but she just bounced 6cm in 30mins with this current downpour, not even accounting for eventual run in.

Hello Bartholomu,
Your stress must be enormous under these circumstances and rightly so. Having experienced peoples stress first hand, in real time, during Brisbane’s “flood” and several cyclones, you seem to be controlling your stress very well. Those nasty comments you are receiving are from regular nasties on here, who display narcissistic tendencecies. I am a regular lurker 😊 and I use this site to get a real feel of what is happening to make my own decisions ... not what I hear from politicians and news stories. I am following your comments with great interest and empathy.
