Nice C@28. 1.4mm here

What is you MTD. I think you are smashing my total this month.

8.00am Saturday it was 107mm
So with today's it will be 152mm plus...

Wow great MTD. You would be above most places in cairns too.

Fingers crossed for a wet end to January. Does not look like anything significant for the next week or so.

Another 10mm overnight brings us to 55mm.
One of the best falls for ages.

And the mowermen around town are loving it too.
My fella says he's done more mows since about the middle of Dec, than in the 4 months before that.

Enjoying this lovely weather while it is here. GFS have had a dumping for us starting in about 8/9 days for a few days now. They have a low in the gulf moving east. EC also have a low in the gulf but have it moving west. CMC have a low out in the CS.
Would be great if we get some nice broad lows giving rain to large areas and no TC spins up sucking all the moisture into one small area

Thanks for the link weary.

GFS, EC and CMC sticking to their guns re what they think will happen with this low. They all agree in a couple of days it will be between PNG and SI. After that GFS have it heading west till the Cape then turning south and travelling inland down the cape dumping heaps of rain. Would be massive flooding
EC have it intensifying to a TC in the GoC before heading SW. A bit of rain for us while it is in the SE GoC. More coastal than wide spread.
CMC have it going into the CS and staying well off the QLD coast. Bugger all rain for us

Hopefully we get an in between of GFS and EC with inland getting some good falls. Interesting times!

GFS

EC

Absolutely bucketing down in Trinity Beach for the last 5 minutes - long rain band all the way up the FNQ coast - short but sharp!
Edit.. not so short after all.

The rush of cool air which preceded the rain was pleasant, but only for about 10 mins though. Bummer.

Thats a nice fall Barronriver.

Only 28mm up here but it has continued since daylight.

Didn't quite get the neighbors lawns finished yesterday , they are away and I'm care taking, bloody hate it when a bit gets left but can't mow in the rain. (hills)

Liking the sound of all this rain simmo , Just hope some of the inland areas can pick up a wet season.

Cheers
