A bit of a surprise packet is Minlaton on Yorke Peninsula.... currently the highest temp in the state at 45.7C which has already broken their record.

Snowtown and Port Lincoln both have data from 1939, too.

This might very well be the hottest day any of us will experience in our lifetimes in this state. . Haha, yeah. I mean, I sure hope you're right, but the way trends are going for frequency of record breaking i'd not put money on it.. Walked from North Tce to Rundle st along Frome. On North Tce I wet my hair at a water fountain, it was dry halfway to Rundle st.

On North Tce I wet my hair at a water fountain, it was dry halfway to Rundle st. Many of these records date back to 1939 so not entirely accurate statement. . What is not accurate about it? You can only break the records you have, I get that, but from 2000 to 2014 the number of observed Australian hot records is over 12 times greater than the number of observed cold records (from here, might be a bogus source but seemed ok at quick glance https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/2015GL065793#grl53430-sec-0005-title ). So hence my statement that I wouldn't be betting on not this record again in my lifetime. Or did you mean the statement I was quoting originally?
