The Cairns radar has so many blackout periods for time, it can be days one just 3 months or so ago was like that. Once they used to swap it over to the wind finding radar at the airport I think until fixed but they dont do that anymore.

Seems like such a hows your father level of total service, we have an short term extremely wet weather event arrive overnight and last night the radar went out..... AGAIN!

Surely Brisbane/Sydney say or any other typical radar service worldwide in the first world couldn't be just as haphazard, history proves trusting the predicted stated start time is a fools game in the majority. So rubbery all around...and to think people fly in planes surrounded by electronics to keep them aloft.

Bargain basement technology purchased at a garage sale or is it the socialised management or is such incompetent up time typical of all radars world wide??
