Nice rain, nice rain. smile
No idea how much we've had today. Not heavy, but hesitant to check and get wet, too cold...lol.

The Low has disappeared off the BOM Current Cyclones page, but still shows on the Vanuatu Met Bureau map.

Dropped into the 22s. Finally gave up and put a woollen jumper on. Had the uggs on all day though.

Looking at the radar it looks like the big totals are yet to come. GFS is forecasting big totals this evening.

Bring. It. On. Loving this weather, it has hammered down most of the day on the beaches around Smithfield. Not checked the Nylex but I'd guess 100mm plus!!

EC is modelling over 90mm, GFS over 170mm in the next 24hrs Simmo. Be interesting to see the outcome tomorrow.

Cairns Airport alert has measured 120mm since 9am. I am sitting on 100mm now.

Simmo, have been watching and waiting for the GFS rainfall forecast since spotting it yesterday and wondering how it would pan out. Looks like this is the event now and GFS forecast shows the rain bombing just to the south of Cairns and sliding down to the Townsville area overnight.

Great video Ron, love the Pyramid waterfall facing Gordy and having it captured like this for all of us to see is awesome; who needs to leave the house!

Cheers Pac, although that ol' crappy camera just doesn't do it justice.

Looks to me like GFS has this low hanging around the SE gulf and base of the cape for days to come yet, and even deepening later on, possibly heading east in a week or so. EC as well.

My latest nylex dash has totalled 181mm since 7am. Still more to come. Love it. Just went for a swim in the pool.... I was wet anyway .... and it was lovely feeling the warmth of the bottom layer of water vs the freshwater at the top.

Wish the bom kept the tracker map going but understand it’s only for the purpose of potential cyclones…

137.4 here since 9am. Really got heavy again in the last hour. This is my first real wet season, it's amazing! Went for a drive earlier to look at water, masses of it around (no surprise there ;p)
