Anyone know where you can download the data from individual reporting stations around town? I can only see a few data points on the BOM website.

EG the Cluden reporting station

I think the BOM only shows the last 7 days, any longer than that you'll have to contact them.

quick question, the gates at Ross River dam can open up to 3.75m, but after that they must open fully to 10.5m is this correct, no option to open in between ?

@MareebaWeather

From what I read of the proposed dam manual changes that looks correct. They have the option to do other levels, but at 43AHT level for the dam its for safety to immediately go full nuts...

This is just a story I was told, but at 44 EVAC is supposed to happen around the dam, at 47 dam failure may occur. I can't find that in any source documents though.

That manual is basically talking its a 1 in 200 or worse for it to get the 43AHT though. We might just get there.

Here is a link to my wunderground data.

https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=IQNSIDAL2#history

There are plenty other around town accessible by moving the map and clicking on the station.

The data and graphs can be set to daily mode or custom data range if you want to see the total rain from this event.

I am at 895mm for this event.

I have been looking at everyone elseís stations at times during the event and they seem pretty accurate with the rainfall rates and totals.

Looks like they are letting more out. Black Weir at 1.80. Ross at 42.23 AHD, and rising.

We are in uncharted territory here.

Still, engineers never get it wrong....

Just been up to the garage on Ingham Road. The Spirit of Queensland train has been stuck across the road from the West End Pub for at least an hour. The boom gates are down on Church St/Ingham Rd intersection. Saw two dickheads driving BETWEEN the boom gates to get onto Ingham Rd instead of driving along the service road to Kings Road intersection.

Some people have no sense whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!
